Wildskeins Yarn Company

My ADPi sorority sister, Cathy, reached out to Wildskeins and asked for knitted or crocheted squares that will go towards our philanthropy project of providing blankets for Turkish refugees. What a response!! These will join the more than 600 squares (at this point) that will be assembled in Turkey and distributed to those much less fortunate than us and provide warmth and hope. Camantha is so helpful and the shop is well-stocked! I feel lucky to live near a beautiful shop like this. I’ll never shop at Michael’s again for my yarn needs.

As a novice knitter, I was searching online for a connection to a knitting community here in Hickory that I could get involved with. I was hoping, also, to find someone who could help me "fix" a mistake I had made in knitting the pattern I am currently working on. I called Wildskeins, and spoke to Camantha. She was very friendly and assured me that she could help, so I visited the shop the very next day. The shop was so cozy and inviting, and I immediately loved the atmosphere! I sat down on the couch next to Camantha, and she patiently assessed the situation with my project. As we chatted comfortably with each other, she quickly undid a couple of rows that I had knitted, and got me back on track again! I was so thankful for her help, and really appreciated her kindness! I'm looking forward to visiting the shop regularly to work alongside Camantha and others who share my love for knitting!
